About Us
Our principal engineer, Bob Lewis, PE, is a native of western North Carolina and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering degree from North Carolina State University. With nearly 22 years experience in the structural engineering field, Bob has the experience, knowledge and problem solving skills to help you through most any situation.
Prior to establishing Lewis Engineering & Design in early 2019, Bob worked with Sutton-Kennerly & Associates (now SKA Engineering) for eleven years, Medlock & Associates Engineering for two years and Medallion Pool Company for three years, all in Asheville, North Carolina with the role of Project Engineer. He has been a member of the Structural Engineers Association of North Carolina since 2015, served as State Vice President in 2016, State President in 2017 and has been the website administrator since. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
